Lots of Work, Lots of Blessings

The Ada Bible team is busy is Kenya! We arrived here at Mully Children's Family (MCF) mid-day Sunday and since we have arrived, we have been moving continually!

Shortly after arriving, we had a fantastic Kenyan meal of fresh tomatoes, green beans, onions and potatoes--almost all grown right here on the MCF farm. Then we spent the rest of the day touring the farm. They have 150 acres at the location where we are staying and another 500 acres down the road at another location. Monday we spent most of the day touring the

Ndalani location, where we are staying, houses almost 600 children and their teachers, several staff and many workers to work the farm, tree nursery, greenhouses and medical facility.

Tree Nursery

Yatta is the girls' rehabilitary home with almost 400 living there and another huge farm with several greenhouses, five water dams, a fish farm as well as many cows, goats and chickens.

Tilapia farm.

They grow so many vegetables here!

Their main crop is french green beans which they export a great deal of to Europe. Additionally, they grow corn, eggplant, onions, tomatoes, green peppers, kale, cabbage, carrots, spinach, papaya, mango and bananas. Most of the food they need to feed all of the children and staff as well as some meals for their workers. They give a great deal to the community and any excess is sold in the markets.

Kenya is in another severe drought. There are many communities who are in desperate need of water. MCF is able to provide much needed water to many families in the surrounding area with their dams, wells and water purification area.

Everywhere we go, we find more ways MCF is contributing to the growth of children and the growth of the community.

Part of the team has come to install projectors, screens and a sound system for the chapel here at Ndalani.

The rest of us are music folks. We have been able to sing and play for the children (and their children!) at Yatta as well as the group of farm workers here at Ndalani. We have a translator who helps explain what we are singing and an MCF pastor who preaches to the people who come to hear.

We also have already been blessed to hear their singing!

This afternoon we will be traveling to a school and market, singing, giving testimonies and preaching. They have kept us very busy and also fed us extremely well, showing us amazing hospitality.

Your prayers are always appreciated and coveted. Keep in mind safe travels, continued health, good operations of all the musical and technical gear as well as open hearts and minds of the many people we are coming in contact with and ministering to.

Asante sana! Swahili for, "thank you!"
